ParticipantSylvia – PLEASE can you tell me how to buy your books about your experiences playing the harp at weddings. I’m laughing already.
Thanks,

ParticipantBen – I love the bright sound of my Melusine.
I always use Camac strings (in fact the Cardiff harp shop who sold me the harp said that if I didn’t I would invalidate the guarantee).

ParticipantI paint on little dots on every string halfway down to show me where to play harmonics.
Is this bad?

ParticipantHow about when people try to talk to you while you are playing at a gig, as if you should easily be able to have a chat and carry on playing simultaneously.
Or even worse (and I swear that this has happened to me on several occasions) when people come up to you during a gig and want to have a chat to you WHILE you are singing!

ParticipantThanks for the replies.
I am interested to know of other people’s experiences of string breakages with nylon-strung harps.
I did have an optimistic idea that my new Melusine would mean an end to the stress and inconvenience of constant string breakages (as happens with gut-strung harps).
