    Balfour,
Thanks for the website information. I was not familiar with this one. I found she has lots of song possibilities to choose from. I appreciate your input!

I have a Lyon & Healy pedal harp, style 14. I only play outside of my home a few times a year. My father built an inexpensive cart/dolly for me several years before he passed and it has served me well over the years. He made it out of 5/8″ plywood, 20 inch square (angled corners). He attached a swivel roller in each corner. I have help from my husband to move the harp up/down the steps to our house, but other than that, Dad’s version works really well for me and it has met my needs.

Thanks, Catherine. I sat with my mom last weekend to hear a man sing and play the guitar. He included several religious songs. I looked at the June activities that were listed on the calendar and worship services were included, so I don’t think religious songs would be a problem. Thanks for the suggestion on music by Sylvia Woods. I’ll look into that. Thanks!

Gregg, Thanks for your very clear explanation! I am no professional harpist and don’t remember ever seeing the glissando information written in that format. I guess I was expecting to see pedal changes written in the music to make playing the gliss easy. I like this gliss sound much better than the “Ab scale” gliss!!

Balfour, thanks! This will be my first time to play harp for the cantata. I’ve played at church for special music, weddings, funerals, but never as part of a small instrumental ensemble! I better practice on counting numerous measures of rests!!
