Thank you all so much for your informative and thorough answers!
aglaia-tParticipantThanks so much for your input.
My oh my, Kay, looks like I’ve got to get insurance ASAP!
aglaia-tParticipantI played some Bernard Andres music – Duke, Absidioles, those felt pretty masculine to me. A lot of Latin harp music are quite neutral in terms of masculinity/femininity. Maybe playing a song with some percussive effects will make the harp seem less quiet.
aglaia-tParticipantI actually have one more question. During the crossunder, should I place my 3rd or 4th finger before I play the thumb or do I simultaneously place the 3 or 4th finger while I am playing the thumb?
aglaia-tParticipantWow thanks so much for all your great suggestions!!
aglaia-tParticipantThank you all so much for your wonderful advice. Take care Tonie!
aglaia-tParticipantThanks so much for the advice. I’ll pay more attention to the distance.
I can put the A pedal down with no problem. It’s only when I try to play G#, I just cannot put it down all the way. On top of that, the outer edge of my toes will knock A natural into Ab. I guess because the harp is new, the pedals are still really stiff?
Regardless, does anyone have any physical exercises they do that can help strengthen calf and feet muscles?
Thanks again!
aglaia-tParticipantThank you so much, to the both of you, for your advice!! 😀
