    Hello,

I’m wondering if all tuning keys (wrenches) for the harp are the same size? I just bought a Stoney End Sara harp, but they lost the tuning key and now I have to find a replacement.

I know I could order one from Stoney End, but I just wondered if I found one for a different make if it would fit.

    Thanks,

    Amanda

All tuning keys for one brand should be consistent but they are not identical between brands, just as the tuning pins they fit are not the same from manufacturer to manufacturer.

No they aren’t. I have 2 lever harps and a brass strung harp with no levers.. all 3 take different wrenches.

So Janet, you have three harps by the same maker and the tuning keys are not interchangeable?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I opted to order one from Stoney End to be sure it fits

Dusty Strings makes an adjustable wrench, it’s like a tap wrench with a wooden handle.

Now that I have one of those, I can get rid of the two other odd size wrenches I have and know the one wrench I carry will fit any peg, period.

It’s at the bottom of this page:
