    Does anyone know what the mark that looks like a violin up bow (/) means? They are not those dagger-shaped accents because they do not appear over any actual note heads. Because of their location at the ends of phrases, it seems as if they might be indicating a gesture or raise. They can be seen in the Promenade a Marly, as an example.

    I believe it represents a breath or lift, such as an apostrophe
