These photos are from a Lyon and Healy style 15 I am looking to buy.

It has been looked at by a professional harpist (broker) and an independent harp technician.

I have looked at it twice in person. At the time I didn’t notice this, but looking back on the photos it looks like there is a slight gap between the column block and column. Or is it a shadow?

The harp technician said it was in a great structural condition. If this ‘gap’ was a problem surely it would have been noticed in the assessment – I do not mean to undermine their expertise!

Should I bring it up with the broker? What do you think?

You could follow up with the tech who made the assessment, or another, but for what it’s worth, I’ve seen at least one older harp with an even bigger gap, and a (well informed) tech said there wasn’t much to worry about / do about it, even though it may look a little concerning.
