    What is your favorite electronic tuner for concert grand —portable, under $150?

    I always add an external pick-up to improve readings in lower register.

    The model I’ve recommended for students has been discontinued.

    I just use a Korg CA-30 with a harpwire from Stephanie Curcio. Totally inexpensive and works great for laying the temperament in the middle octave. The rest I tune by ear listening for beats.

    I have had my Zen-on Chromatina 331 for 11 years now and am only on my second battery. I love it!
