    I was wondering if anybody here has ever tried the Rainbow of Sound program for beginning harp students?

    Hi,

    I’ve used the Rainbow of Sound programme, however, eventhough the theory was quite well explained, the pieces within were rhythmically too difficult for my 12 year old student.
    In one book you would have the right hand, and in the second book the left hand would be added, by the time we were able to do the second book she had ‘outgrown’ the pieces’.
    We eventually moved to the ABRSM grade exams and she was happier with them because the theory, aural, scales and pieces all complimented each other and she had a better understanding of how it all worked together.
