    That I don’t know. I’ve been told that there were three fires between 1889(when they started building harps) and 1910, which is the reason for all the confusion in their early records. My understanding is that all serial numbers prior to 1910 are three digits, and the four digit numbers start in 1910.

    Maybe that would explain the existence of two 299s. Ask Lynne Aspnes about it. Maybe I remember the wrong number, but it was close to that.
