Hi all! I’m currently building up my wedding repertoire. What have you found to be your most requested pieces of wedding music?
What about vocal solos? (Being prepped to accompany a soloist)
I’ve got Tacobell on the go already. What else?
Ceremony and/or reception?
I guess I was thinking ceremony, but any and all answers are appreciated!
Processional March: Ode to Joy (Beethoven), or O Sanctissima (Sicilian Mariners’ Hymn)
Recessionals: Rondeau (Mouret); March of the Priests (Mendelssohn): one of two Trumpet Tunes(Purcell, Clarke).
The Prayer . . . oh great – my brain just went absolutely BLANK on any others.
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
The mom of a bride many years ago asked me to do this…which I’d never thought of…because she’d seen another harpist do it.
I guess there must not be very many wedding harpists on the forum.
