The Historical Harp Society’s 30th annual Workshop and Conference will be at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, July 10th through the 14th, 2013. The H. H. S. is an international organization promoting all aspects of the history of the harp, its repertory and playing technique. The workshop will include a tour of the Sibley Music Library, and courses on the celtic harp, led by Mike Parker of London, and on the medieval, Renaissance and Baroque harp, led by Ron Cook and Mike Parker. Weekend conference presentations will cover many aspects of harp history up to and including the 20th century. Don’t miss the faculty concert on July 11th, in Hatch Hall at 7:30!
