Does anyone know if there is a harpist playing for Sting’s concert? There is a 15 second commercial prior to the start of the video, and the harp is seen towards the end, but no one is playing it during this particular song. http://www.reuters.com/video/2013/07/10/sting-uses-his-music-for-good?videoId=243929145

    Hi Jer!

No clue who it is, but it just made me think . . . Everytime I see a harp on TV I will just say “HARP”, and my husband has now picked up on my harp sniffing as well. The other night while having “Couch time” in the evening, a commercial came on and I missed it and next thing I know, you hear my husband saying “HARP” followed by a big “AH, you missed it”. LOL

That’s funny, Kay! My husband and I are doing the same thing!

Anyone see the harpist on “Million Dollar Listing NY” i believe it was Tuesday night. Luis was making a music video of this fantastic apartment ; you got a short glimpse of her with the harp as he was filming; wonder who she was? This was a new episode.

I was watching “Lost Girl” on Netflix the other day, and there was a banshee playing the harp. The actress was faking it but not terribly.

I know who usually plays for Sting, he’s part of a friend’s ensemble, will check it out, as he said he toured the US with Sting.

Dan De Fry is his name and he toured the US with Sting, he told me this during the interval at a local concert, by coincidence, not having met him before, but the gig in my local church seemed to be an Animal Charity concert and I know the singer/vocalist – her husband plays keyboard and arranges for their ‘band’ and so I think DdF plays with them regularly as I saw him once again in the park, samish group.. and in the concert I mentioned he played the 1st movement of Tournier’s (1ere) Sonatine which I was just becoming familiar aurally with so that was great !!… I know it better now. http://danieldefry.com/biog.html
