My harp teacher recently asked to to choses an exam board to start my exmas. The option is between ABRSM, Trinity and London. My teacher was kind enough to give me advice and information about them but now I feel confused as ever. I would appreciate if you could kindly give me your opinions on which exam board to chose. Thank you.

We are not very familiar with them in the USA, and don’t have our own. What I’ve seen of ABRSM is that they don’t seem to expect much progress from level to level or anything very challenging.
Look into the syllabi for these courses. They will all have different requirements, so it’s interesting to compare! The main thing is to become a well-rounded musician who can not only play well, but also understand the theory behind it. The ear training and technical requirements are so helpful, too. We have the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. Yet another Syllabus to look at!
