    Hello all,

I am trying to expand my harp music collection (which right now is extremely small). I know there is an abundance of classical music and Irish/folk music out there (both of which I love) but I am wondering if there are any artists who use the harp in an untraditional way like for pop or rock music, but not covers–original songs. Anyway, I just thought that might be interesting and I figured this would be the place to find out!

    There’s always Deborah Henson Conant.

Rudiger Opperman – Park Stickney – solo albums and their album together – I love the old multi-tracked harps that Robert Maxwell did in the early 50’s (“The Harp in Hi Fi”

Aside from the ones already mentioned, all good choices, a few that come to mind who do original compositions are:

    Andres Vollenweider

    Verlene Schermer

    Alice Coltrane

    Lori Anderws

Corrina Hewat – though her work is based on Scottish trad, it’s drenched in jazz and pop (and really interesting too.)

Does anyone know Linda Wood’s birthdate? I need to list it with her composition for a recital.
