Does anyone know how many calories are burnt by vigorous practicing, or its exercise worth in other regards?
LOL!
NOT A WHOLE HECK OF A LOT!!!! That’s why I started walking again last week.
My harp teacher and another student said playing the harp burns tons of glucose.
I think about the same amount of calories that are burnt by reaching out to a bowl of potato chips to pick up one at a time and eat it.
mmm, yes, but if you are lifting three or four at a time, you have multiplied the weight, too!
I’m not sure, but after a full weekend of performances I’m usually famished.

Builds those muscles, too!
LOL, but muscle weighs more than fat….!

Doesn’t stress cause weight loss?
If you practice while carrying your harp up and down stairs, a good amount. Otherwise, very few.
I once read that practicing the piano for an hour burns about 150 calories. Seems like practicing the harp would burn at least as much as playing the piano.
