Winners Named in Italian Harp Competition

The winners have just been announced for the Sixth International Competition “Suoni d’Arpa” (Sounds of Harp), which took place this past week, September 1-5, 2016, in Saluzzo, Italy. The competition was hosted by the Italian Harp Association, in partnership with Salvi Harps. 

Category A

(Lever and pedal harp, up to age 13)

1st prize: Yelyzaveta Rakovska (Kharov, Ukraine)
2nd prize: Emanuele Raviol (Turin, Italy)
3rd prize: Silvia Capè (Milan, Italy) and Angelica Gavinelli (Novara, Italy)
Honorable mention: Yan Hei Li (Hong Kong, China)

Category B

(Lever harp, no age limit)

1st prize: Agatha Bocedi (Reggio Emilia, Italy)
2nd prize: Fabio Rizza (Modica, Italy)

Category C

(Pedal harp, up to age 18)

1st prize: Agnese Contadini (Rimini, Italy)
2nd prize: Agatha Bocedi (Reggio Emilia, Italy)
3rd prize: Andrei Olaru (Bucharest, Romania)
Special Prize “Mirella Vita” for the Best Performance of M. Clementi’s Piece, Offered by Musica d’Arpa: Agnese Contadini (Rimini, Italy)
