The Valley Symphony Orchestra (VSO) in McAllen, Texas, has announced an opening for principal harp. Auditions will be held in person on June 10.
Applicants must register online by May 26 and must also send a $50 audition deposit by mail, to be received by June 2. Please see the audition listing for more details.
Conducted by Music Director Peter Dabrowski, the VSO performs five classical concerts per season. The VSO is a per-service orchestra. Principal rates are $93 per service, with five to six services per concert cycle. The orchestra provides a mileage stipend for those who drive their personal vehicle, as well as a lodging stipend or hotel room based on musician preference.
