The Teatro San Carlo in Naples has appointed Elèna Vallebona principal harp. Over 70 candidates performed in the initial round of the harp audition, which has not been held since the 1980s. The audition consisted of four rounds. Following the elimination and preliminary rounds on April 21–22, selected candidates participated in semifinal and final rounds on April 24.
After graduating with honors from the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, Vallebona studied at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg, then obtained her master’s degree from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.
