I learned to play the harp when I was 11 years old. It was a natural transition from playing the piano. While studying art at Northern Arizona University, I started teaching private harp lessons and playing with the Flagstaff Symphony. In 1999, my love for teaching and playing in the orchestra inspired me to get a masters degree in harp performance from the University of Redlands in Southern California. I wanted to have all the skills and pedagogical understanding of my instrument so I could take my students as far as they needed to go. Since then I have had a thriving teaching studio for students of all ages and levels of ability and I have made it my goal to provide the support and nurturing to my students, that my harp mentors gave to me. If you have a dream to play the harp, I can help you achieve your goal. Call me to schedule your free tour of the harp!
