The Sydney Symphony Orchestra has announced an opening for principal harp. Online applications are due by Aug. 11. Repertoire requirements will be posted on the orchestra’s website by mid-July.
The auditions will be held Sept. 25–26 for this permanent, tenure-track position. Applicants who are not able to attend the live audition may submit a recorded audition by Sept. 15; if the recorded submission advances to the final round, the candidate will be required to audition in person.
Led by Chief Conductor Simone Young Am, the orchestra performs more than 120 performances as part of its regular subscription concert season at the Sydney Opera House. In collaboration with producers and agencies, the orchestra also presents open-air concerts, broadcasts, and streaming content.
