Suoni d’Arpa has announced the winners of its 12th International Harp Contest in Italy, held Aug. 30–Sept. 3 in Saluzzo, Italy. Shamim Minoo won first prize in the top division. Virginia Pestugia was awarded second prize, and Mari Kelly won third prize.
Hosted by the Italian Harp Association, the competition offered a total of €20,000 in prizes in four divisions, along with special awards. The jury included Claudia Lucia Lamanna, Lorenzo Montenz, Raoul Moretti, Fabrice Pierre, and Mattia Sismonda, led by jury president Emanuela Degli Esposti.
Category A (pedal harp, up to age 16)
1st prize: Evelin Greblo
2nd prize: Margherita Spicci and Linė Lipnickaitė (tie)
3rd prize: Rossana Buratti
Honorable Mentions: Agatha Barkova and Ioan Theodor Blejan
Category B (pedal harp, up to age 20)
