The Somerset Folk Harp Festival in Parsippany, N.J., has announced the presenters for its 2024 edition. The festival will take place in person and online July 18–21, with an additional weekend of online workshops July 27–28. The early-bird registration rate is available until May 1.

Festival director Maureen Buscareno describes Somerset as a place to discover more of the folk harp world. “Whether you are new to the harp, want to focus on one style or type of music, solidify some specific skills, or try out something new, Somerset’s workshop offerings are sure to expand your musical horizon,” she says.

The festival features lunchtime and evening concerts, live workshops in-person and on Zoom, and an exhibit hall. Add-on events, available in addition to festival registration, include online access to part or all of the Historic Harp Society’s Scoil na gCláirseach (Festival of Early Irish Harp); a Thursday with Deborah Henson-Conant; and the Harpers’ Escape with Gráinne Hambly, Kathy DeAngelo, Debbie Brewin-Wilson, and William Jackson.
