Sasha Boldachev embarks on a tour of North America

Russian-Swiss harpist and composer Sasha Boldachev has just announced a North American tour, to perform a diverse range of repertoire that includes classical, pop, rock, and game music. The tour begins Jan. 14, 2018 in Orlando, FL, and continues through Feb, with stops in both Canada and the United States. Playing his own arrangements and original compositions, Boldachev will also present his vision of the future for classical and will showcase his new electro-acoustic harp (“Delta”), a Salvi instrument that offers a new sound and unique aesthetic. As part of his tour, he will give nine masterclasses, offering insight into Russian and French technique and teaching the basics of improvisation and arranging music.

Boldachev is an official artist of Salvi Harps, an invited soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, and a member in the group Game of Tones. He has received awards from over 10 international competitions and was awarded a Prize for Culture from the European Cultural Foundation, Pro Europa. His discography includes two solo albums and several chamber music albums, in addition to crossover music videos. As a composer, he has transcribed over 150 compositions for the harp and has written 30 original works, including three for harp and orchestra. He holds degrees from the Zurich University of the Arts.
