Results Announced for Mexico’s Concurso Nacional E Internacional De Arpa

Results have been announced for Mexico’s Nacional E Internacional De Arpa, which was held Nov. 12–17 in Mexico City. The event was organized by founder and Artistic Director Baltazar Juarez, principal harpist with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México. The winners are:

Advanced Division (maximum age 35)
First Prize: Ian Mcvoy (USA)
Second Prize: Emmanuel Padilla Holguin (México)
Third Prize: not awarded

Intermediate II Division (maximum age 23)
First Prize: Juan Sebastian Chaparro (Colombia)
Second Prize: not awarded
Third Prize: Iris Córdoba Cuevas (México)

Intermediate I Division (maximum age 18)
First Prize: Joana Tellez Sosa (México)
Second Prize: Valentina Reyna Masat (Argentina)
Third Prize: not awarded

Child Division (maximum age 13)
First Prize: Florencia Arizpe (Argentina)
Second Prize: Juan Mateo Bigoritto (Argentina)
Third Prize: Emanuel Lara Soto (México)
Fourth Prize: Keila Lara Soto (México)

Jury members included Albarosa Di Lieto (Italy), Angel Padilla (Mexico), Christian Topp (Germany), Elisa Torres (Puerto Rico), Alfredo Isaac Aguilar Solano Aguilar (Mexico) Gounta Salacks (Latvia), and Susann McDonald (USA), who served as the jury President.
