The Rave Harps International Prestige Awards has announced the winners of its 2025 competition, held by online video submission. Online video streaming took place July 27.
In the composition competition’s division dedicated to works for pedal harp with chamber ensemble, Renee Qin of Canada won the Best Composition Award for ages 19 and older. Chew Yi (Malaysia) and Kaitlyn Tan (Singapore) each received the same honor in the category for ages 13–18.
In the performance competition for chamber ensembles with harp and other instruments, Phang Bei Lin and Ng Jing En of Singapore won the Best Performance Award in the Young Artist (Pedal Harp) division. Kendall Xu and Ruixi Li of China won the Best Performance Award in the Advanced Lever Harp division. Both groups also received a distinction with honors.
The winners of the Best Performance Awards for pedal-harp-only groups in the Young Artist and Prestige Chamber Virtuoso divisions will be determined during the live winners’ concert in Singapore, held Aug. 25–28.
