Alix Raspé Gray is the new Lecturer of Harp at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

Alix Raspé Gray is the newly appointed Lecturer of Harp at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. “I am so excited to be joining the faculty at Dartmouth College and to get to work with such intelligent, wonderfully talented, determined students,” Raspé Gray says. “I truly look forward to helping them mindfully achieve their artistic pursuits.”

Raspé Gray also serves on the faculties of Phillips Academy Andover, Boston Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Governor’s School, in addition to having a large private studio. As an orchestral musician, Raspé Gray performs as a substitute harpist with the Boston Symphony and Symphony of New Hampshire. She previously served as principal harpist of the Lima Symphony Orchestra and associate harpist with the Columbus Symphony.

Raspé Gray was recently elected Vice President of the American Harp Society’s Boston Chapter. She is the founder and director of the Dorset Harp Colony, an intensive for harpists held in Dorset, Vt. She recently published her first book, The Musician’s Guide to Mindful Practice: The Journal.

Raspé Gray graduated with Pi Kappa Lambda honors from New England Conservatory with her Master of Music in Harp Performance. She also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from New York University.
