The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) has announced an opening for principal harp, with auditions to be held April 11, 2026. Applicants must submit an application form, resume, and refundable deposit check by mail or email by March 11. Please see the audition listing for more details.
As a per-service orchestra, the NHSO is offering the principal harp position as a right of first refusal position whenever services call for a harp. There are no service guarantees nor minimum service requirements for this position. The NHSO annually produces eight Classics Series concerts, three Pops programs, Young People’s concerts, outdoor concerts in the summer, and other special concerts and educational services.
