Alessandra Münger (Switzerland/Italy) took home first prize at the 2025 International Reinl Harp Competition, organized by the Franz Josef Reinl Foundation. Lauren Swain (United States) was awarded second prize, and Gabriela Dudziak (Poland) won third prize. Enzhuo Wu (China) received the Lions Club Wienerwald Special Prize.
Under the artistic direction of Mirjam Schröder, the competition took place in two rounds Oct. 25–27 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, and was open to all harp players born after Jan. 1, 1999. The Franz Josef Reinl Foundation was established by Hilde Reinl, wife of the composer Franz Josef Reinl (1903–1977) and mother of the harpist Herrmann Ertl (1923–1963), with the intention of supporting young musicians.
