Martine Géliot harp competition announces 2022 winners

The Concours Martine Géliot has announced the winners of its 2022 competition, held Oct. 29–Nov. 1 in Avon–Pays de Fontainebleau, France. Zoé Buyck (France) took home first prize. In addition to the 2000 € award, Buyck receives a complete set of 47 harp strings and will be invited to perform on several occasions, including the Festival de l’Orne and the opening concert of the next Martine Géliot competition in 2025. Clotilde Boussange (France) was awarded second prize and 1500 €. Wan Zhong Ming (Canada) won third prize and 800 €.

The audience award went to Clotilde Boussange (France) and Lorelei Coker (Switzerland). Charlotte Bommas (Germany) received the “Young Talent” award sponsored by Hélène Boscheron. Three prizes for the best interpretation of selected pieces in the final round were also presented. Evdokia Roger Bulycheva (France) won the Belébat prize, for the best interpretation of “L’Égyptienne” by Rameau. Zoé Buyck (France) received the Éditions Billaudot prize, for the best interpretation of “Toccata” by Connesson. Elena Antropovski (Belgium) was awarded the Éditions Henry Lemoine prize, for the best interpretation of “Sicilienne” by Damase.

Competition finalists also included Armand Brunet, Anna Vera Gander, Mélie Leneutre, and Barbara Ożarowska.
