Lyon & Healy Harps has announced winners for their 2014 Lyon & Healy Awards Shanghai. The award competition took place at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music May 8–9, 2014, in conjunction with the Shanghai International Harp Festival. Jia Peng (China), Qi Hang (China), and Se Hee Hwang (South Korea) were chosen as the three Award Winners. Each received a check from Lyon & Healy Harps for $2,000 and a Winners’ plaque to commemorate their award. Wenxuan Tang (China) and Yan Yin Yany Tse (Hong Kong) were recognized with Honorable Mentions. “It was a pleasure to hear the emerging talent of the students in Asia,” said Heather Azem, Lyon & Healy Awards Manger. “The excitement and enthusiasm they brought to the competition was delightful.”

The jury, comprised of Emmanuel Ceysson, Park Stickney, and Anna Verkholantseva, also presented masterclasses and concerts during the Festival.
