The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced a harp audition scheduled to take place Sept. 29—Oct. 4, 2019, following the retirement of principal harpist, Lou Anne Neill. Under the direction of Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, the orchestra presents over 250 concerts each year at two renowned venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Currently in its 100th season, the LA Philharmonic is considered today to be one of the world’s leading orchestras, performing under conductors such as Otto Klemperer, Zubin Mehta, and Andre Previn. Neill has been with the orchestra since 1983, when she was appointed principal harpist by Carlo Maria Giulini.
