Harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet has recorded two works for harp and orchestra with the Berliner Philharmoniker, of which she is principal harpist. The new digital album is available as a download from Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings, as well as on major streaming platforms. This release is the third album in the Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings’ new solo edition series, each of which presents a member of the orchestra as a solo artist.
Langlamet is the featured soloist in George Frideric Handel’s Harp Concerto, followed by Germaine Tailleferre’s Concertino for Harp and Orchestra, which was first performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2024 under the direction of Juanjo Mena. The Concertino for Harp is “full of surprises,” Langlamet says. “Germaine Tailleferre was an incredible composer—very fresh, very authentic and with lots of ideas.”
