International Harp Competition Elena Carfi Online announces repertoire

A new competition for young harpists will debut in October. The International Harp Competition Elena Carfi Online is open to children of all nationalities who will be evaluated by a jury of María Luisa Rayán, jury president (Argentina/U.S.), Ramiro Enríquez (Argentina), Carolina Varvara (Argentina), Marcelo Penido (Brazil), and Isabel Moretón (Germany). Competition organizers María Luisa Rayan, Marcela Méndez, and Ramiro Enríquez named the event after Argentinian harp teacher Elena Carfi to honor her legacy by encouraging excellence in young harp students.

The competition will award first and second prize in each division: Children I, for ages 10 and below as of Oct. 31, 2021, and Children II, for ages 12 and below. Applicants must register by Oct. 15 and submit their video recordings by Oct. 30. Results will be announced by Nov. 15, 2021.
