The International Harp Competition Elena Carfi has announced a second edition of the contest, to be held in 2023. Applications are due by October 31. Applicants must submit video recordings between November 1–18. Results for the competition will be announced in December.
The contest was created in 2021 to honor Carfi’s memory as an influential Argentinian harp teacher in the second half of the 20th century by inspiring young harpists and helping them learn at an early age. This year’s competition will include two divisions for youth in addition to the children’s divisions. The competition organizers also plan to include an Argentinian or Latin American composition in each category, beginning with this edition of the competition.
