The Helsinki Harp Festival has announced the winners of its 2023 competitions.
The International Helsinki Harp Competition 2023 awarded second prize to Flora Antropius of France and third prize to Hilda Kunnola of Finland. Katilyne Roels of Belgium received a special prize for the best performance of the harp solo Annin ja Viljamin valssi by Laura Hynninen. First prize was not awarded.
The Lilly Kajanus-Blenner Harp Competition is for harpists between the ages of 15 and 19 who live in Finland. Anna-Helena Hamann and Viena Jylhä-Ollila tied for first prize. Siiri Munter won third prize. Viena Jylhä-Ollila also received a special prize for the best performance of a Finnish piece.
