Christophe Guillemot of Brittany won the 15th Camac Celtic Harp Trophy at this year’s Festival Interceltique de Lorient, held on Aug. 17 in Lorient, France. In a statement on its social media channels, Camac says, “Christophe has placed in the top three of this competition every year since 2017! So it is especially wonderful to see him win first place this year.” The trophy winner also receives a Camac Aziliz harp, a 34-string instrument named after the Breton form of Cecilia, patron saint of music.

Other prizewinners include Izy MacLean (second prize), Alice Guse (third prize), Mera Royle (fourth prize), and Helena Pelloquet (audience prize). This year’s adjudicators were Kevin Le Pennec, who won the Camac Trophy in 2019, and Nolwenn Arzel.
