Galician harp festival announces composition competition

The 5th “Portus Apostoli” International Composition Prize for Harp and String Orchestra is now accepting new works for solo harp and string orchestra, due by Dec. 23. Organized by the Asociación Noia Harp Fest, the competition is open to composers of all nationalities, with no age limit. Each applicant may submit only one work, which must be original, unpublished, and must not have been commissioned for remuneration or awarded a prize in any other competition. The work must not have been previously performed in a concert or any public event. A single prize of €4,000 will be awarded to the winning work, which will receive its world premiere in a special concert associated with Noia Harp Fest 2027.
