Fort Bend Independent School District (ISD), located in the suburbs of Houston, has announced a job opening for a full-time harp specialist to work with students grades 6 to 12. Responsibilities include coaching harp sectionals during orchestra class, leading harp ensemble, writing harp parts, preparing students for regional and all-state auditions, and assisting with recruiting. The starting salary for this position is $62,000 with a $4,800 stipend, plus additional pay for candidates with a Master of Music or Doctor of Musical Arts degree. The job also includes summers off, pension, and other benefits.
