DHF World Harp Competition accepting applications for 2022

The Dutch Harp Festival (DHF) is accepting applications until Nov. 5 for its 2022 World Harp Competition. The international competition is open to harpists of all ages and nationalities, and welcomes repertoire from any genre. Programs must be 45 minutes in length and must feature the applicant’s live performance on the harp. Applicants are free to choose all other aspects of the program, including repertoire, staging, and theme.

After the preliminary selection round, competitors will be selected to participate in the video round. The semifinals and finals will be held live in Utrecht on May 7–8, 2022, alongside the 2022 DHF. The cost of travel and lodging for semifinalists will be covered by the competition. The first prize winner will receive €5,000 and the continuing support of the Care, Coaching, and Career development program.
