Oklahoma City University has appointed Emily Carpenter Duncan as Adjunct Professor of Harp. She will also serve as Academic Specialist for the School of Theatre and Wanda L. Bass School of Music. “I am thrilled to be a part of the faculty at Oklahoma City University,” Duncan says. “There are wonderful things happening in the Oklahoma harp world, and I hope to contribute to the growth of the community through my studio at OCU.”
In 2022, Duncan won the Alice Chalifoux Prize in Harp from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned her Master of Music in Harp Performance under the tutelage of Yolanda Kondonassis. She graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and has performed with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, Oklahoma City Symphonic Band, and the Akron Symphony.
