The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) has announced an opening for principal harp. Applicants must submit an online application, including a one-page resume, by Aug. 31. An audition deposit of $101 must also be mailed, postmarked no later than Aug. 31. Please see the audition listing for further details.
Preliminary and semifinal auditions will be held Oct. 9–10. The final auditions will take place Oct. 11, when the Audition Committee and Jader Bignamini, Music Director, will hear the finalists.
This position is available to start at the beginning of the 2024–2025 season, or sooner based upon mutual agreement and the winning candidate’s availability. Finalists may be asked to play in the orchestra for up to two weeks before an offer of employment is made.
