Harpist and composer Ben Creighton Griffiths will premiere his own jazz harp concerto with the Chandos Symphony Orchestra on March 19, 2023, in Malvern, England. The concerto, a suite with five movements in different jazz subgenres, includes both improvisation and scored sections. Creighton Griffiths plans to publish two different versions of the concerto by next summer, allowing for different levels of improvisation by the solo harpist.
