The School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD) is a leader in contemporary and traditional “classical” genres, career and top conservatory training in a world class university. Students can also benefit from the School of Music, Theatre & Dance’s EXCEL Lab, which provides 1:1 coaching, workshops, classes, grants and other resources to help prepare students for careers in the performing arts. The EXCEL Lab coaches on topics ranging from money smarts for artists, grant writing, resumes, web design, social media marketing, and ways to creatively and realistically reach the community and build audiences.
