The University of Houston is a wonderful place to study music. Students have the opportunity to learn from world-class faculty, and benefit from the many performing arts organizations in the city of Houston. Harp students have the use of two Lyon and Healy concert grand harps, dedicated practice space, and storage space for their personal instruments. Harp students will be able to experience playing in orchestra, opera, ballet, musical theater, mariachi, and new music ensemble. The variety of performing experiences prepares students for their future studies and careers. Students also benefit from the opportunities offered in the wider university, including an Honors College, extracurriculars, the opportunity to double major, and a diverse and accomplished student body.
