Program summary

The harp department at Shepherd is small enough to provide individual attention, while intense enough to allow each student to reach their full potential. Students develop the creativity and discipline to become professional performers, teachers, attend graduate school, or to use their skills in other fields. We offer a full range of study such as private instruction, chamber music, theory and history (including specialties in jazz and Appalachian studies), and large ensembles.
