The Virginia Harp Center will present a college fair in Gibbsboro, N.J., on Sat., Nov. 10, 2018. Geared towards incoming 6th–12th grade students, the event is intended for harpists interested in including music in their college experiences. Harpists and college faculty members Barbara Allen, Cheryl Cunningham, Sarah Fuller, Gloria Galante, June Han, Ruth Hunter, Bridget Kibbey, Susan Knapp Thomas, Felice Pomeranz, and André Tarantiles will all be present to answer questions and talk individually with curious students. For those interested in performing, there will be a student showcase.

Megan Landfair, the manager of the Virginia Harp Center of New Jersey, says, “We’re looking forward to providing this event for both students and professors. All of the staff at VHC and AHC have degrees in music, so we remember what it feels like to go through that process, and we’re hoping to make it easier for everyone involved. Students will not only have a chance to meet the professors in person, but they’ll also be able to ask questions about the various programs. It’s a rare opportunity that will be a valuable resource for high school harpists.”

Virginia Harp Center hopes to offer this event regularly, alternating between their three store locations in New Jersey, Virginia, and Atlanta.
