Today’s Tip:
LISTEN FOR THE “WHITE SPACE”
If you’re like most harpists, you probably spend more time thinking about the notes you’re playing than about what happens when you’re not playing. Today, think about the “white space” between the notes. Intentional silence can help give shape and structure to your playing. Likewise, unintentional noises like buzzing can distract from your message. Have you ever stopped to think about what’s happening during the moments where your fingers are not touching the strings?
