Program summary

OSAS is a week-long harp camp for ages 12+, on the Oberlin College campus. Our focus is learning Scottish music and idiom on lever and wire harps, the place of the music in history and heritage, and making new friends! Classes include morning and afternoon sessions (at four levels); music and culture lectures; mixed instrument classes; sessions; and activities. The week begins Saturday after the (optional) SHSA sanctioned Ohio Scottish Games harp competition and runs through Friday noon.

Additional info

If you like Scottish music, you will meet incredible people and you'll find your tribe. You will also come home with a lot of varied and beautiful tunes for your repertoire. You will have studied with world-famous instructors. Teens will be challenged; adults will be enabled.  And you will have a load of fun at your harp and away from it. You will walk to meals, but the Oberlin campus is beautiful and compact. We can't wait to see you!
