Program summary

Exploring the World of Harp~Bringing Young Harpists Together~Developing Skills~Fostering Musicianship. Welcoming lever and pedal harp students ages 11 – 19 for a non-competitive week of “everything harp” including lessons, various classes and ensemble playing. Our Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced ensembles perform a Finale concert. Presentations and classes may include: stage presence, masterclasses, improvisation, historical and Celtic harp, extended techniques, weddings, orchestral music.

Established in 2000 and held on the campus of Houston Christian University.
Three ensembles accommodate all levels – beginning, intermediate and advanced levels.
Our four esteemed instructors offer support, years of experience and present individual specialties on various aspects of the harp which may include historical harp, contemporary music, improvisation, Celtic harp, orchestral playing, career opportunities, etc. Special guest(s) additionally contribute to our week. We offer multiple scholarships each year. Scholarship applications are due May 1, 2026 (midnight). No auditions required.
