Boston Harp Festival This Weekend

The ever-expanding Boston Harp Festival kicks off Friday September 28 at First Church Boston, continuing through Sunday September 30. Festivities begin with an opening recital (Firday, 8:00 p.m.) by Ina Zdorovetichi, the top prize winner at the 17th International Harp Contest in Israel and harpist with the Boston Lyric Opera. The rest of the weekend will feature presentations by Felice Pomeranz, Heaven Fan, Suzanna Klintcharova, Cynthia Price-Glynn, and a Stars of Tomorrow concert featuring 10 up-and-coming young harpists. Barbara Poeschl-Edrich, Suzanna Klintcharova, Soledad Yaya, and Felice Pomeranz will give Saturday night’s Harp Metamorphosis concert (8:00 p.m.) and Park Stickney closes the festival with a Gala Concert on Sunday (8:00 p.m.).
